¿What should I discuss with the professional health care before taking Imuran?

Tell your doctor and pharmacist if you are allergic to Imuran or other medicines. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant or if you are breast-feeding. If you become pregnant while taking this medication, call your doctor immediately. If you are going to be subjected to any surgery, including dental, tell the doctor or dentist that you are taking Imuran.

¿What are the possible side effects of Imuran?

Although the side effects of this drug are not common, may actually arise. Tell your doctor if any of these symptoms become severe or if not disappear:
  • Loss of appetite.
  • Malaise stomach.
  • Vomiting.
  • Diarrhea.
  • Pain in the joints.
  • Hands and feet cold.
If you experience any of these symptoms, call your doctor immediately:
  • Sore throat.
  • Fever.
  • Chills.
  • Wounds of the mouth.
  • Unusual bleeding or bruising.
  • Blood in the urine.
  • Feces dark with blood or tar (colored oil).
  • Discoloration of the skin or eyes (yellowing).
  • Rash (skin rashes).
  • Dyspnea (breathing difficulty).
  • Palpitations fast.
  • Changes in vision.
